Jill Davis is showing off her baking chops on the Food Network's Halloween Baking Championship. The Owosso baker moves on to episode four, which debuts today (10/6).

Davis is an Owosso resident and owner of an at-home bakery known as Drizzle Cakes and Bakes. The mother of two made her network TV debut in September, competing against 11 other contestants on the 8th season of the Food Network baking competition show.

Episode Three

Davis fared well in episode three of the completion, despite a rough showing on the show's previous episode. According to The Independent, Davis bounced back nicely after nearly being eliminated in episode two. In keeping with the show's 'Halloween' theme, contestants who are eliminated are sent to the '13th floor' immediately before going home.

The Haunted Hedge Maze Challenge

Davis and her partner Kristi Descher created a hedge maze cake which turned out to be a winner in the judges' eyes. Davis says she wasn't sure about the partnership in the beginning.

“Initially, I was a little nervous to work with Kristi. She’s an absolute perfectionist and I’m a little more fluid in my process. It turned out to be a perfect match, however," Davis said. "Playing off both of our skills was exactly the recipe we needed for success. Not to mention, we were the only two moms in the group, so you know, we had our teamwork and multi-tasking points. I could not have asked for a better partner!”

 Moving on to Episode Four

In the next challenge, contestants will be asked to create a smahable dessert with a hidden surprise inside. Let's hope Davis can avoid being banished to the dreaded 13th floor.
