Watch: Animals Make a Break for It at Cedar Point Zoo
A bit of chaos erupted at Cedar Point Zoo recently when several animals made a break for it, giving guests a much closer encounter than they bargained for. The whole thing was captured on video, and it's the kind of thing you have to see to believe.
The video is embedded below.
Three Alpacas Escape From Cedar Point Petting Zoo
If you happened to be at Cedar Point on Friday (5/9), you may have seen the spectacle for yourself as three alpacas made a bid for freedom from 'The Barnyard,' Cedar Point's petting zoo.
A Cedar Point spokesperson shared the tail — um, I mean tale — with Fox 8:
"This morning, three alpacas from The Barnyard were observed walking along the Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad tracks."
Cedar Point officials explained that the pens had been left unlocked by a third-party operator responsible for cleaning the cages.

Fortunately, no one was injured while the animals were on the loose, and they were quickly returned to their pens.
Not The First Time Animals Escaped From Cedar Point
The park is known for its wild rides, but last year the wildlife got a little out of hand a couple of times in just a short span.
In June 2024, a couple of camels escaped from Cedar Point's petting zoo. Then, just a few days later, several goats made a break for it. News 5 in Cleveland has video of both those incidents.
