Man Crashes Car Into Pizzeria, Orders Pizza
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. And when life steers your car straight into a pizzeria, you order a large pie.
That's the lesson out of Lincoln, Nebraska, where recently an elderly man got his foot stuck on the accelerator of his Honda Fit and barreled straight through the front door of Valentino's pizza restaurant. Luckily nobody was hurt in the accident, including the wayward driver, who then asked a store employee to bake him up a pizza.
"He seemed very calm and collected. I was amazed," explained a bystander who witnessed the unconventional order.
According to authorities, it was a good thing the man was thinking about his stomach at time like this because it showed he was "alert" after the crash. Unfortunately the man didn't get his pizza, as he was taken to the hospital for precaution.
Valentino's was shut down for about a day so health inspectors could make sure none of the food was contaminated by either exhaust or debris.
They're back open now, with a new door. They would also like to request that all future customers leave their cars in the parking lot.
