New Male Birth Control Could be Released to Public Within a Year [VIDEO]

Apparently a simple shot to the sack could be the way of the future when it comes to male birth control.

According to Fox 2, a new male contraceptive has reportedly completed clinical trials in India and involves an injection into the groin area that researchers say is designed to be a practical alternative to surgical vasectomy.

After getting the shot, the new male birth control would reportedly stay effective for 13 years. That definitely sounds way better than getting a vasectomy, a procedure I had done 14 years ago. I know dudes cringe at the thought of getting a shot in the jewels but if you were to get a vasectomy, you'd be getting one anyway not mention getting cut open.

The contraceptive is called reversible inhibition of sperm under guidance (RISUG).

I'm sure it'll be quite a while before it becomes available in the U.S., if ever. However, it could become available to the public in India within the next seven months.

It's unclear if the procedure can be reversed.
