At the end of the day, there is so much to be thankful this holiday season. So let us share some sweet photos of a few of the most precious blessings around.

Hurley Medical Center photographer extraordinaire, Doug Pike, has captured the sweetest images of the tiny blessings in the NICU at Hurley again this year. Volunteers take time to handmake adorable seasonal outfits for the hospital's tiniest patients, and Pike lovingly captures the moments for the families.

"They knit or crochet the outfits which the families get to take home. We provide all of the families with a beautiful photo", said Peggy Agar, the marketing/social media specialist at Hurley. "It's a great way for them to feel like they aren't missing out on those special moments. They have a nice photo like they might have if they were already home, celebrating the holidays with family. We appreciate all of those who take time to make the holidays special for our NICU."

Every year, 380,000 babies are born prematurely in the United States according to the March of Dimes. Flint and the surrounding area are fortunate to have Hurley Children’s Hospital, the premier pediatric medical facility in the region. They are also the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as well as the region’s only Level III NICU.

Something as simple as a cold is tough on a parent, but imagine your child being so tiny, and helpless. That's where the magic of Hurley and their staff kicks in to make the uncertain, and scary part of parenting a little less hard to handle.
