Should Smoking be Allowed in Michigan Bars and Restaurants Again? [VIDEO]

It's been six years since the ban on cigarettes in bars and restaurants. While we all have our opinions on the subject, there is one group hoping for a compromise.

Ban The Ban Michigan is fighting to bring choice back to Michigan by proposing an amendment to current state law that would allow smoking in outdoor eating areas and indoor areas designated for patrons 21 years and older.

Personally I think it would be a terrible idea to allow smoking in bars and restaurants again. The thought of my clothes smelling like smoke again, makes me sick, not to mention what it does to my voice. However, I have no problem with allowing smoking in outdoor eating areas. I mean after all, you're outside.

According to Fox17, "Ban the Ban" claims to have surveyed more than 5,000 people in the state, of which 86 percent agreed a compromise was needed on the state's smoking ban.
