Slipknot and Marilyn Manson are gearing up for a joint North American tour that kicks off in early June, and Loudwire Nights host Toni Gonzalez caught up with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor at the recent National Concert Day event in New York City to discuss the trek.

Taylor was first asked if Manson was an influence on him when he was starting out in music, to which the Slipknot vocalist responded, "He's definitely an influence on me. I mean I was a huge Manson fan, starting with [his 1994 debut album Portrait of an American Family], honestly ... To this day, I think Antichrist Superstar is one of the best albums ever recorded, bar none."

But does Taylor have a great backstage story involving Manson? You bet he does. This one took place on the 2001 Ozzfest tour and involves Manson and a pair of tighty-whities. We won't do the story of Manson's underwear justice ourselves, so you'll have to watch Taylor tell it in the video above.

You can catch Slipknot and Manson on tour together beginning June 9 in Salt Lake City, Utah. For a full list of dates and to buy tickets, click here.
