Listen to the Smashing Pumpkins’ Original Version of ‘Let Me Give the World to You’

Back in 1998, when the Smashing Pumpkins were recording songs for their fourth album, 'Adore,' they ended up with a bunch of leftovers. One of the tracks that didn't make the final cut, 'Let Me Give the World to You,' ended up on 2000's 'Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music.'

But now that the release of a seven-disc deluxe edition of 'Adore' is on the way -- with 107 tracks in all -- some of those leftovers will finally see official release, including 'Let Me Give the World to You,' which you can listen to above.

The song didn't change too much in the two years between 'Adore' and the free companion album that followed 'Machina/The Machines of God.' Besides a few more guitars and fewer strings on the 2000 version, the songs are nearly identical.

Still, this 'Adore' outtake is getting us mighty excited for the release of the beefed-up 'Adore,' which comes out on Sept. 23. The box is stuffed with a mono version of the album, demos, alternate takes, a full concert from the era and other rarities.

After that, frontman Billy Corgan will most likely finish up work on the next Smashing Pumpkins album, 'Monuments to an Elegy.' He also has a solo show coming up in which he's asking fans to help out with the set list and plans to get some pre-Pumpkins demos out there.
