The only one that could top the list for 2011, was also this years' best show on television. It came late in the year and won everybody over in its short six episode first season, of course I'm talking about "The Walking Dead".
As a HUGE movie guy, it pains me to say that 2011 doesn't have much scheduled that I'm excited about. However, I am really looking forward to Kevin Smith's first stab at horror. I really want this to be the film that shuts up the internet haters who have nothing to say abouth Smith other than recycled fat jokes.
It's the return of the franchise that kept me on board with Playstation when it came time to upgrade to a next-gen console . Metal Gear will thankfully continue in 2011 after retiring Solid Snake in MGS4 (one of the best games I've ever played, right next to MGS3). Read more for all the details on the rebirth of Metal Gear Solid.

Jason DeCrow,AP PhotoThe countdown of the best stuff on the dockett for 2011 continues. It's gonna be tough to say goodbye to one of the best shows on television (again), but the one set to break our hearts in the new year is "Rescue Me" as it returns to FX for it's 7th and final season.
Everybody was quoting the original "Hangover" a few summers back and this years' sequel will be either a repeat performance culturally, or just a repeat. A lot of comedy sequels rely too heavily on the formula of their predecessor but "The Hangover 2" could definitely break the cycle.
When it comes to fighting games there are really only two names: Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. After several changes to gameplay, style, and content of the MK franchise, the series had become almost unrecognizable. In 2011, Mortal Kombat promises to return to it's fatally gory roots.
Television has improved creatively by leaps and bounds in the past few years. There went from being two shows I cared about to too many to fit in a list of 5. 2011 is gonna be a great year of TV, and the fact that "Californication" is returning for a fourth season is one of the reasons.
This has been a long time coming and now it seems that the band may actually be recording. This would no doubt be my #1 on the list for 2011 if it were confirmed by the band, but it's just not that simple. Read after the jump for details...
It's no big secret that I'm a huge fan of horror movies, that's why JC3 is the next movie on my checklist for 2011. In a year where green things and robots will snag everyone's attention, I'll be awaiting the return of "The Creeper".
The competition is THICK for video games next year and I had an incredibly tough time whittling my list down to just 5 for you to watch in 2011. I knew the whole time that the MMO "DC Universe Online" was one of the games on the list for sure. Read after the jump for a look at the game that will no doubt eat a good chunk of your free time next year.
