Breaking news today about a possible child abduction attempt in Lapeer County.

Many parents and concerned Flint-area residents have reported multiple incidents involving people in a white van trying to lure kids inside.

Over the weekend multiple boys reported that some guys tried to lure them into their white van.

Tuesday afternoon around2:30 pm, a man tried to abduct a teenager on Mayville Road (just west of Kingston Rd) in Tuscola County's Koylton Township.

A young Flint woman took to Facebook to warn of the growing threat of sex trafficking in Genesee County by sharing the story of a family friend who almost became a victim while leaving the Burton Walmart.

Police are calling on the public to help identify people involved in a possible abduction yesterday in Burton. Luckily Jerrica VanHouse saw the alleged kidnapper(s) approach her daughters. VanHouse immediately screamed for her husband, scaring off the vehicle.

The disappearance of a Michigan woman, last seen working at Exxon in Norton Shores, is now being investigated as an abduction. Jessica Heeringa, 25, has been missing since Friday, and family and friends are hoping someone saw something, as there is no surveillance footage of the gas station.
