base jumping

This slingshot combines to items that I have yet to cross off my bucket list. I want to become a skydiving instructor more than anything. Also, every time I'm at Cedar Point I try to muster up the balls to ride the Rip Cord. Hopefully one day I'll be able to make all that happen.

Jumping off of a cliff does not sound fun to me. Jumping off of a cliff with the parachute actually hooked to my flesh sounds like even less fun. Josh Miramant is believed to be only the 11th person to jump that way, with the p-chute hooked into his back! Ouch!!!!!

Here is something for the bucket list. Check out this awesome base jump off the world's tallest building. Looking at the video, it's crazy how high up they are. Would you be able to jump?

According The New York Times, back in September three men climbed to the top of the World Trade Center Tower with parachutes strapped to their backs and then jumped into darkness. How does something like this happen? I mean, this is supposed to be the most secure building in the world, right?

This guy's 876 foot jump is part of a base jumping festival in West Virginia and it's the only time that jumpers are allowed to jump from the largest arch bridge in the United States. This guy here is in a wingsuit and for some reason his parachute didn't open. He did survive and is in stable condition with pelvic, lung and spine injuries. This is one lucky dude!

This is incredible footage of  two base jumpers that fly within 20 feet of their friends while blasting down the side of a mountain at 120 mph. HOLY BALLS!
