With fall sports upon us, Fenton Schools have announced the new plans for entry to sporting events this fall.

Parents across Michigan are circulating a petition in favor of allowing high school bands to perform this fall.

This seems like something straight out of the Banana 101.5 Bad Golfers League. Over the weekend, Concord High School student, Isaac Couling, was attacked by a goose while teeing off.

Yesterday, thousands of school students across the nation staged a planned walkout as a memorial and protest to the 17 students who perished in the Florida school shooting. A threat at Grand Blanc High School before the walkout caused the school to go into secure mode canceling the walkout.

Students in Flint received some good news recently as Flint became Michigan's newest "Promise Zone." This scholarship program will help pay for the student's education after high school.

Suicide is definitely affected all of us either directly or indirectly. Having been affected, Savannah Liest of Goodrich High School is now raising money for suicide prevention.

Looks like Atwood Stadium is going to get a little more use this year. In August, Carmen-Ainsworth, Grand Blanc, Flushing, Linden, Goodrich, and Burton-Bendle will compete against each other in the Classic.

Tragedy struck the Flushing area yesterday after a middle school student was hit by a car on the way to play practice. The teenage girl was walking down Carpenter Road on her way to the high school auditorium for play practice when she was hit by a high school student driving down the road.

A high school teacher in Bangor, Michigan has resigned after incident with a student. The 16-year-old student reported to officials on Monday that he was duct-taped to a chair during class. Sadly, this isn't the first time this has happened in Michigan.

The sheriff's office in Huron County just recently conducted drug searches in area high schools. A drug sniffing dog was able to locate some prescription pills and some marijuana paraphernalia. Most residents and the principals are all for this action.
