The Flint Firebirds are back in action this Wednesday for "Winning Wednesdays."

On Tuesday, a few players from the Detroit Red Wings made a stop at the Ann Arbor Fire Department. While they were there, they decided to get a little extra training.

Firebirds fun this weekend.

Back on October 15th, a fight broke out at a youth hockey game at Iceland Arena in Clayton Township. One man was injured and five people now face assault charges.

More great hockey action is hitting the ice tonight at the Dort Event Center. It's the 4th annual alumni game with the Detroit Red Wings taking on the Flint Generals.

The long holiday weekend is here and it's time to give back! Tonight at the Flint Firebirds game you can do just that. The Firebirds will be collecting your donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items.

If you are planning on going to see the Flint Firebirds game tomorrow, you may want to get there early for another game. The puck drops at 3:30 pm for the Battle of the Badges Face Off For Charity hockey game at Dort Event Center.

This definitely isn't the first time this has ever happened but it's cool to see anyway. It's not too often a goalie has the opportunity to score during a game. While the opposing team pulled their goalie to get a one man advantage to try and catch up, the other goalie saw his chance and took a shot. It paid off for him.

Hockey is one of the greatest games on the planet. Hockey players give it their all every game they go out and play. Tensions tend to get heated and sometimes the aggression takes over. This particular player went in for an aggressive check and wrecked himself into the boards.

Every sport has it's own weird traditions and fans. In hockey, fans are know for throwing things on the ice, like octopi being thrown on the ice at Red Wings games. During a UHN game with New Hampshire taking on Boston, this fan had a huge struggle to get a giant fish on the ice.

During a recent game for the Calgary Hitmen, the crowd stepped up for the 2015 Teddy Bear Toss. After a goal by Jordy Stallard in the second period, the crowd began to rain down teddy bears on the ice. When it was all said and down, 28,815 teddy bears were collected to benefit more than 50 charities in Calgary.
