Strange how alcohol can alter history.

It's a big year for movies buffs, especially if you are a sci-fi or comic book fan. After the first trailer for 'Independence Day: Resurgence,' I wasn't sure how I felt about the movie. The second trailer though makes me want to go see the movie in theaters and not just wait for the DVD. It looks like there should be some pretty good action and so far a decent story line.

For the next couple of weeks, Michigan police plan to beef up patrols in an effort to bust drunk drivers. This initiative is part of a yearly crackdown against drunken holiday motorists, which were responsible for the deaths of nearly eight people last Fourth of July weekend.
