Former Penn State assistant football coach, Jerry Sandusky was sentenced this morning to 30 - 60 years in prison. Sandusky was convited of 45 counts of sexual abuse. Before the sentence was read this morning, Sandusky recorded a message to his accusers last night. You can listen to that here, if you can stomach it.

Sanctions were levied against the Penn State football team on Monday by the NCAA for its role in the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal and while the school avoided the ‘death penalty,’ it was still hit hard.

Former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky, who was found guilty last week on dozens of counts of child sexual abuse, had been prepared to take the stand in his own defense during his trial — until he learned his adopted son Matt was ready to testify that his father had molested him as a child.

Now that the NBA Finals are over, America can finally turn back to it's favorite summertime past time,  waiting for football season to start.  Until we get there though, let's talk Tigers, Pistons and why the guilty verdict in the Jerry Sandusky case should just be the beginning.
