Pit Bull

There are two types of people in this world - pit bull lovers and non pit bull lovers. I guess there could certainly be a few 'undecided' folks, but most people have strong opinions on the breed. These types of stories are tragic (we can all agree on that), but these instances certainly fire people up on both sides.

Chelsi Camp's motherly instincts went into overdrive when her daughter Mackenzi was being attacked by a pit bull. In order to protect her child, Chelsi bit the dogs ear off and shoved her own hand down the dog's throat.

Talk about a real 'doggy' bag! Tampa resident, Thomas Elliot Huggins, 25, was recently arrested for killing a 6-month-old pit bull, chopping up the animal, eating parts and storing portions of it in the freezer for later consumption.

Washington D.C. resident, Andre Hawthorne-Le risked his life to save some teenagers who were being terrorized by two pit bulls.  Teens were going as far as climbing on top of cars to get away from the dogs. At one point in this video from MSNBC, you can see one of the dogs climbing on top of a car to get one of the kids.

Chicago resident, Bill Lesinski, 47 had his nose bitten off last Friday by his neighbors Pit Bull. Lesinski is an owner of a Pit Bull himself and although his injuries are extensive, he does not blame the dog that bit him according to the Huffington Post.
