The internet has been pretty dry of late, but two recent videos had me rolling. One features Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps' winning swim perfectly remixed with Super Mario Bros. SFX, and the other has auctioneers doing their thing over rap beats.
Seriously, who ever did this is an absolute badass. This is the most impressive Super Mario-ing I've ever witnessed and I've been playing 'Super Mario Bros' games for almost 30 years.
Being able to accurately recreate all the music and sound effects from 'Super Mario Bros 3' with guitar and other instruments may not get a guy laid, but it damn well should.
See the most epic violin solo ever as a man replicates the music and sound FX for the original Nintendo version of 'Super Mario Bros.' The best part is he does it in real time, replacing the sounds with those of his violin as they happen in the game.
This, in my opinion, is absolutely brilliant!!! The folks over at Exploding Rabbit gathered up a bunch of main characters from original Nintendo games and let them loose in the mushroom kingdom. The game called Super Mario Bros.Crossover
If you grew up in the 1980s, chances are you know how the first level of Super Mario Bros. is played. That first level is etched into the heads of every video gamer, whether you played it on the original NES or not. Now imagine how that first level would have played out had it been martial arts legend Chuck Norris in the game, instead of the Italian plumber we all know and love.
Super Mario Brothers might not be the hardest game in the world, but it'd be a hell of a lot easier if Mario had some weapons on his side. I know he had the fire flower and invincibility star and growing mushrooms, but a portal gun would have been a lot better.
Thank god the 1980's ended! I didn't know that this existed but when trolling the Netflix instant queue I found a hidden gem! Check out this terribilarious intro from the late 80's live-action/animated TV show. I almost peed my pants.
