After a decade of playing the game with major labels, The Used are set to release their fifth studio album 'Vulnerable'  independently via their imprint -- Dental Records -- in 2012.

Post Hardcore Alt-Rockers The Used have  spent their entire ten year recording career on Warner Bros. / Reprise records. Once management changed at the label, the band kind of put their new album in limbo until they knew where it would be released. Once the dust settled the band had decided to release the album on their own and created Dental Records.

The height of the band's popularity came in 2003 when vocalist Bert McCracken dated Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Kelly. Though that may have brought some undeserved attention, the band maintained a core group of fans through a series of solid releases -- the last of which was 2009's 'Artwork'.

The Used have now set a tentative release date of February 2012  for their next full-length disc titled 'Vulnerable'. You can check out the progress of the album by checking both the band's Twitter feed and that of their producer -- John Feldmann.
