If 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' was first done as a drama, does that mean there would be no Carlton Banks or gasp no 'Carlton Dance'? You will have to watch the trailer to find out.

If you are not familiar with the television show it was a comedy series that aired from 1990 to 1996. The show starred Wil Smith as kid from Philadelphia, who was sent to live with his wealthy aunt and uncle after getting into a fight. Damn, I wish something like that would have happened to me as a teen.

As you can imagine, the laughs ensue as Wil's working class upbringing clashes with the upper class of Bel-Air. As with any sitcom episode, any problem, big or small - is resolved by the end of the episode. Damn, I wish my problems could be solved in 30 minutes.

Michael Cooper a director and fan of the original show, has just released a new version called 'Bel-Air'. Keep in mind this is only a fake trailer for how this story could be told today as a drama. That being said, I would not be surprised if we eventually see it in theaters. What is old, can certainly be new again.
