The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2011 may be all over but there were enough exciting games announced to keep us busy until next year. All kinds of cool projects were shown off at this year's expo and I've taken the time to point out some of the highlights.

Disclaimer: I am not an Xbox owner or a fan of RPGs.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
One of the last few exclusives on any console that are worth a damn; Xbox has Halo and Gears of War, PS3 has Uncharted and God of War. There are others on both but the list is getting smaller and smaller. Nathan Drake returns for his third outing where he'll most likely be hunting down some kind of relic with mystical powers. I held off on playing these until late last year but I'm glad I didn't skip them, Uncharted 1 and 2 were some of the best gaming experiences I've had. The third looks like it will uphold the series' reputation as one of the best action/adventure games.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
I am a lifelong Resident Evil fan, I even bought a Dreamcast solely because RE: Code Veronica was a DC exclusive at first. That was a great game as was RE4 (both of which will be released soon in HD for PS3 and Xbox) but the one I'm really looking forward to is Operation Raccoon City. You get to play as Umbrella operatives during the timeline of RE2 and 3 and well...I'll let the dude that made it explain the rest. The one thing they fail to mention is the long overdue addition of walking and shooting at the same time, finally!

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Metal Gear is my favorite franchise and the updated versions of MGS2, MGS3 (possibly the best game ever), and MGS: Peace Walker will be out for Xbox and PS3 this November. Thank God I held off on buying that PSP just so I could play Peace Walker! Here is a look at the console version of the PSP title.

Gears of War 3
Like I said: I am not an Xbox dude. I know nothing of their catalog aside from that shitty Halo 2 that I played for a few hours once upon a time. I'm not too proud to admit that they do have a few cool ass games I would like to play. I would probably start with the Gears franchise if I ever were handed a free Xbox 360, check out Ice-T throwing down on the next installment (Yes, that Ice-T).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
If I didn't include this I would probably hear about it from the COD fanboys, so here it is. I liked the second game but unlike my 12 year old opponents online, I could only play about 5 hours a week (on a good week). It makes it tough to enjoy a game when you can barely crack the 13 kill barrier, but somehow I still had fun playing MW2. The new one looks even better as the action heads to New York City.
