It seems hard to believe, booze might be the most dangerous thing in the world.  I'm not saying you'd be safer going out for Aids instead of going out for drinks, but maybe you should try to avoid them both.

According to new studies coming out of Geneva, when it comes to world wide deaths, alcohol plays a part in 4 percent, which tops Aids, tuberculosis, and violence.   According to gulfnews.com

Approximately 2.5 million people die each year from alcohol related causes, the WHO said in its "Global Status Report on Alcohol and Health.

"The harmful use of alcohol is especially fatal for younger age groups and alcohol is the world's leading risk factor for death among males aged 15-59," the report found.

I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of surprised by this.  I get that a lot of people die from alcohol but I had no idea it was such a high percentage.  The fact that it's worse than violence blows my mind.  Another mind blowing fact is that 1 in 5 deaths in Russia come from boozing.  Can we put a whole country on Intervention?
