Students that are gamers might soon be able to get a varsity letter in Michigan High Schools.

Video gaming might have a shot at becoming a sport in Michigan High Schools. The Michigan High School Athletic Association is looking into the idea of making that happen. It may seem crazy to you but gaming is already a competitive sport in colleges around Michigan.

Of course this is going to lead to some interesting debates. I'm sure many kids and parents will get behind this idea. On the other hand, I'm sure many will not thinking that it will cause kids to be more active.

Personally, I think this would be a great idea. We live in a digital world and there is no reason not to think that video games are a huge part of it. I wish I would have had this option when I was in school. I could have gone pro back in the day!
