Well, it's looking like our weekend could start with some severe storms this evening.

According to ABC12, while a stray thunderstorm cannot be ruled out during the afternoon, the greatest chance for storms will be from about 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

We could see damaging wind gusts of up to 65 mph, no doubt that is the biggest concern. These winds could produce tree damage and down power lines. Large hail with a diameter of up to one inch is also possible. There's a slight chance of tornado activity but it's definitely possible as well.

If there's one thing we need right now, it's rain. My yard is so freaking dry even with me running my sprinkler system every day. I don't have any trees in my backyard so right now it looks like a barren wasteland. Hopefully, we get a good dousing tonight.

Originally we were supposed to get showers and thunderstorms tomorrow but it's not looking that way now. I was a little worried because my neighbors are having an open house tomorrow and they've been working around their place for the past year getting ready for it. I would have felt so bad for their daughter who's already endured so much this year along with the rest of the graduating class of 2020.

After this weekend, things are going to get really hot with no rain in sight for days, if not weeks. Of course, that could change and hopefully, it does.
