Soundgarden’s ‘Superunknown’ Turns 20

A&M

Soundgarden’s ‘Badmotorfinger’ turned 20 years old this weekend.

‘Badmotorfinger’ is the album that made Soundgarden, well, Soundgarden. The 70-minute composition presented the finest in ’90s grunge with hard-charging rock hits such as ‘The Day I Tried to Live,’ ‘My Wave,’ ‘Fell on Black Days,’ ‘Spoonman’ and ‘Black Hole Sun.’ The album also earned Soundgarden major Grammy attention, with ‘Black Hole Sun’ receiving the award for Best Hard Rock Performance and ‘Spoonman’ snagging the trophy for Best Metal Performance. ‘Black Hole Sun’ was also nominated for Best Rock Song, and the album was nominated for Best Rock Album.

What’s your favorite song off ‘Badmotorfinger?’ It’s difficult to pick just one, but my favorite is ‘Fell on Black Days!’ Watch the video for the tune below.
