Foo Fighters and the Black Keys are among the acts who will be playing the Global Festival on Sept. 29 in New York City’s Central Park. The two rock groups will be joined by Band of Horses, K’naan and classic rock legend Neil Young at the massive concert, which aims to help spread awareness and raise funds for the global epidemic of poverty.
The Black Keys are about to make another appearance on the small screen soon, as the duo will guest star on the Comedy Central hit ‘Workaholics.’ The episode will air on June 19, and according to star Adam DeVine, the Akron, Ohio natives are comedy naturals.
The Black Keys have announced more 2012 U.S. tour dates that will bring them back out on the roads of America in October. The brief West Coast trek in support of their latest album, last year’s ‘El Camino,’ kicks off on Oct. 1 in Fresno, Calif., and currently is scheduled through an Oct. 10 gig in Las Cruces, N.M., with Canadian duo Tegan and Sara slated to open all stops.
