Why do we apply it to just politics? Why not apply fact checking to our everyday lives. So with that in mind, here are some my everyday checks on the facts of life.
Melissa Gilbert, who is, perhaps, best known for her role as Laura Ingalls on the television show ‘Little House on the Prairie’, announced earlier this week that she is running for a Michigan congressional seat.
Damn you ice cream man! Watch as two kids seem to be just fine until they hear the sound of an ice cream truck. What I find really strange about this video is what the kids are eating before they hear the truck. It looks and sounds like Pop Rocks on toast. An election is the ultimate celebration of democracy. However if you live in South Carolina or Kentucky, booze probably isn't going to be part of your November 6 revelry.
Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is under fire for playing the Silversun Pickups song ‘Panic Switch’ at his campaign events without obtaining the band’s consent. According to a press release, the Pickups’ attorney has sent the Romney camp a cease and desist letter to prevent them from using the song in the future.
It wasn't too long ago that we reported on Flint raising taxes and laying off police and firefighters. Luckily, those firefighters will be keeping their jobs, thanks to a $6.9 million dollar grant, which was finalized today by city officials.
Most political ads can suck it long and hard. I always look forward to election day, because the day after we don't have to play their commercials anymore. Maybe if they were a little more metal, like this ad from Poland, I'd be a little more likely to vote.
