A 12-year-old Flint boy jumped into a Flint Police Department patrol car and drove the vehicle for roughly 8 minutes and luckily no one was injured.

Reports indicate authorities were responding to a domestic violence call involving the boy and his father. When the police were questioning the father, the boy jumped into the vehicle and took off. What is heartbreaking is the boy asked authorities to take his life while he was leading them on the chase. I don't know the specifics of their dispute, but the fact that the 12-year-old wanted police to kill him is most certainly sad.

The chase came to an end when a sheriff deputy was able to get in front of the stolen patrol car and cause a crash. The boy was treated on the scene and taken to an area hospital. No word on his specific injuries.
