15-Year-Old Killed in Dirt Bike Crash at Baja Acres

Horrible news broke over the weekend as a 15-year-old boy was killed while riding his dirt bike at a sanctioned race at the Baja Acres track in Tuscola County.

According to NBC25, the rider somehow went down and became separated from the dirt bike and the riders behind could not avoid striking him. CPR was performed by medical staff on the scene and the LifeNet helicopter was dispatched.

Unfortunately, the Illinois teen wasn't able to survive his injuries.

It must have been so insanely difficult for the boy's family who was present when he was struck by the other riders. I can't even imagine what that must have been like and I hope I never find out.

You have to feel bad for the riders too who will be forced to carry that guilt for the rest of their lives even though it wasn't their fault.
