19-Month-Old Boy Burned in Deadly Imlay City Fire Now Breathing on His Own

Last we month we told you about that brutal fire in Imlay City that left four siblings dead and three others hospitalized. Well, we finally have a little bit of good news to report as the 19 month-old boy that was severely burned is now breathing on his own.

According to ABC12, his father, 42-year-old Keith Kelley, remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition with severe burns while his mother, 29-year-old Krystal Whitney, is hospitalized and in stable condition.

At first, there were three siblings that had past away in the fire but after some time in the hospital a fourth child, Keyairan J. Kelley, a 1-month-old girl, died.

MLive reported the home did not have any working smoke alarms and there's no reason to believe there is anything criminal or suspicious in connection to the fire. The investigation is ongoing.

It's one of the most heartbreaking stories I've ever heard from my hometown.
