3 Doors Down are long known for their generous charity work. Most recently, the gents joined up with the Home Depot Foundation and the Mission Continues to help rebuild the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Medical Center, a home for homeless veterans recovering from substance abuse, mental illness and post-traumatic stress disorder.

The effort is part of 3 Doors Down's non-profit organization, the Better Life Foundation, named after their 2000 sleeper hit album.

Helping Home Depot with their do-good mission was a no-brainer. “Being able to give back, I think, is one of the coolest things about being in the business I’m in,” guitarist Chris Henderson told Loudwire. “When you give something without accepting something in return, that’s really giving. Home Depot just mentioned it to us and asked if we would want to be involved, and we were like, ‘You don’t even need to ask. Just tell us, and we’ll be there.’”

Fans may also get involved by purchasing 3 Doors Down’s current album, ‘Time of My Life,’ from HomeDepot.com. One dollar from each copy sold will go to the Veterans Administration.

3 Doors Down are ramming the road on the ‘Time of My Life’ tour this fall. The jaunt also features Pop Evil and Theory of a Deadman; two bands that Henderson says are a picture-perfect fit with 3 Doors. “They’re all good friends of ours,” he said. “We’ve never toured with Pop Evil, but we’ve done shows with them and we always talked about touring, but it never came around. This time, when Pop Evil’s name came up, we were like, ‘Sounds like a good match for us.’ Theory are good friends of ours, and I’ve known [frontman] Tyler [Connolly] for 15 years. I’ve always enjoyed hanging with him, and it’s going to be really fun.”
