7,000 Christmas Ornaments From ’73 to ’09 on Display in Dearborn

A new exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation has begun that features Hallmark Christmas ornaments. Around 7,000 ornaments are on display that are dated between 1973 and 2009.
Miniature Moments: A Journey Through Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments opened to the public on Sunday, November 20th, 2022. The exhibit features around 7,000 different Christmas tree ornaments that date back to the start of their small line of keepsake ornaments in 1973. Initially, the line consisted of mainly glass ball ornaments but has since evolved to focus on figural ornaments.
What types of ornaments are included in the Miniature Moments exhibit?
Some of the ornaments that are featured in the exhibit include:
- Kermit and Miss Piggy: On Frozen Pond - 2003
- The PEANUTS Gang Series: The Sunday Funnies - 2007
- STAR WARS: Yoda - 1997
- Classic American Cars Series: 1966 Mustang - 1992
- and more.

The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation is located at 20900 Oakwood Boulevard in Dearborn, Michigan. Tickets for the Henry Ford Museum are $27-$32 for daily admission and/or memberships start at $65. The museum is also open daily from 9:30 am until 5 pm.
