ADIDAS To Release 50th Anniversary Superstar Collection

Those who know me are well aware that I am a sneakerhead. For the uninitiated -- that basically means I have a large collection of shoes and keep up on news about sneakers. Yeah, I have a shoe addiction.

One of my all-time favorite pairs of sneakers is going to be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020.

The ADIDAS Superstars or "shelltoes" have been not only seen on the basketball courts for decades, but also on the feet of 80's Hip Hop trio RUN DMC. Jam Master Jay rocked these bad boys on stage back in the day and made them a mainstream must-have.

Now the shoe giant is set to release a limited-edition anniversary shoe combining the two. No official picture has been released yet but I'm sure they will be sick. They will be set to come out in April of this year and will have a price tag of about $150. There will be two different color waves with one being white/black/red and the other being black/red.
