Holly Bar To Rebuild: A New Chapter After 2022 Fire
A popular bar in Holly, Michigan, will be rebuilding after a devastating fire.
Andy’s Place is making a comeback after the 2022 fire, thanks to a $433,770 boost from the state’s Revitalization and Placemaking program to help with the rebuild.
The money, which is coming from the Michigan Strategic Fund, will be used to fix up the building at 208 S. Broad Street in downtown Holly.
As I reported in June 2022, Andy's Place was not the only business in downtown Holly affected by the fire; several other businesses were also impacted.
- Holly Hotel
- Creative Fashions
- Battle Alley Arcade Antiques
The Holly Moose Lodge sustained significant water and smoke damage during the blaze.
Creative Fashions reopened in 2023, but the Holly Hotel and Battle Alley Arcade Antiques have not.
Holly, Michigan Downtown ire
No target date has been announced for when Andy's Place will reopen. As you can imagine, there is much work to be done.
Andy's Place has a mobile food truck, so be sure to follow the Andy's Place Facebook page for information on where you can find it.
The last time I was in Andy's Place was in March of 2022. As you can see in the picture below, Andy's Place was unique. I love the brick wall.
Congrats to the crew at Andy's Place on the grant to rebuild. It's safe to say these last few years haven't been easy.
