Michigan got away — at least in season — despite being caught red-handed in the worst cheating scandal college football has seen in some time. But the Playoff committee has meted out the ultimate punishment to U-M — a CFP semifinal date with Nick Saban and Alabama.

That makes Michigan State one of the most-represented universities in terms of major professional sports franchise proprietorship.
