Kazakhstan's Maria Dmitrienko recently won gold at a shooting event in Kuwait, only to be "honored" with the playing of a Borat parody song instead of her country's true national anthem.

One of the proudest moments in any Olympian's life has to be standing atop the podium while your country's national anthem is played. According to The Atlantic, a hilarious mix-up went down at the Arab Shooting Championships in Kuwait as a Sacha Baron Cohen parody inadvertently spoiled Dmitrienko's big moment.

The comedic actor made a mockery of her country in the 2006 film 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan,' so imagine her surprise when his fake version of their national anthem from the movie was accidentally played during her podium ceremony. The lyrics are tough to hear in the video, so here are just a couple of the more hilarious verses:

Kazakhstan greatest country in the world /All other countries are run by little girls /Kazakhstan number one exporter of potassium/ Other countries have inferior potassium

Kazakhstan industry best in the world / We invented toffee and trouser belt / Kazakhstan’s prostitutes cleanest in the region / Except of course Turkmenistan’s

Accidental Playing of the Borat-Version of Kazakhstan's National Anthem
