Charles Rogers was a football superstar at all levels of the game in Michigan, and he has passed away at the young age of 38.

The news has been confirmed by former teammates of Rogers according to the Detroit Free Press. Rogers was a super star for Saginaw High, and Michigan State in the late 90's and early 2000's. He was drafted second overall by the Lions, but things never went as planned from that moment on.

Rogers started off his NFL career with a two touchdown game, but never lived up to his potential. Drugs became a major part of the problem for Rogers, and continued to haunt him even after his playing days were done.

Things were not good for Rogers, but he did manage to find his way out of the things that troubled him in the past, and start to rebuild his life.

Rogers will go down as one of the most talented athletes to ever come out of Michigan. His high school coach said that Rogers could have been a pro athlete in any of the sports he played he was so talented.

Former teammates have been reacting online all morning as the news of his death spreads on the internet. RIP Charles, our hearts are with you, your family and friends.
