Livingston County is getting its first Chick-fil-A fast food restaurant, but not everyone is thrilled about the news.

The new restaurant will be opening in Hartland, just off M-59, near US-23; a Burger King previously occupied the site.

Residents in the area are concerned about the safety measures in place to manage the increased traffic.

According to WXYZ, despite their concerns, the popular fast food restaurant has been approved.

I remember hearing about heavy traffic when Chick-fil-A first opened on Miller Road in Flint Township in 2023. Vehicles were lined up either to get inside or to hit the drive-thru for a toasted, buttery bun chicken sandwich.

Full disclosure, I have never had Chick-fil-A before, so I’m genuinely curious, what’s all the hype about? People seem willing to wait quite a while just to get their hands on it.

For those of you who have tried it, is it really worth the wait? The only time I would wait in line for a chicken sandwich is if Jon Bon Jovi were handing it to me himself.

As of now, there is no specific opening date set for the new Chick-fil-A in Hartland. The project is still in the early stages of development and is currently undergoing preliminary site planning. As plans progress, more details about the timeline will be released.

I will keep you updated as more information becomes available. In the meantime, let me know - am I really missing out by never having tried Chick-fil-A?
