Chocolate Spill Creates Sticky Situation on Michigan Highway
A Michigan motorist alerted a truck driver when they saw chocolate syrup leaking from his truck.
Yes, you read that correctly. This not-so-sweet incident happened on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, along the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Monroe County.
As you will see in the video below, this was not a small leak. The semi-truck was filled with 41,000 pounds of chocolate.
Michigan Authorities Help Clean Up Chocolate Spill On Highway
The Berlin Fire Department and South Rockwood Police were the first responders to arrive at the scene to assist with managing the spill.
According to The Detroit News, once the chocolate-covered truck was repaired at the police station, the driver hit the road once again.
I feel as if I should have more chocolate puns at this point. Maybe more will come to me.
Ranch Dressing Spill On Michigan Highway
Did you know that in 2024, a semi-truck hauling ranch dressing hit a bridge on I-94, also in Monroe County?
The result? A mess of road ranch - wah wah. You can see a video of the whiteout wreck below.
In 2023, a semi-truck transporting a full load of beer kegs overturned on I-94 in Leoni Township, just east of Jackson. The accident caused quite a scene, as beer kegs spilled across the roadway, blocking both lanes of the highway and bringing traffic to a dry standstill.
Notice I said 'dry standstill', as the kegs were empty. Talk about a total buzzkill, not a beer drop in sight.
Let me know if you see any trucks leaking tequila. All kidding aside, I am glad that no one was hurt in any of these three instances.
