On Friday, Mayor Sheldon Neeley announced a new program to distribute masks to churches in Flint.

Churches and houses of worship will now be able to get free masks thanks in part to a donation from the Mott Foundation. The Mott Foundation donated two million masks for the Flint Community and around 100,000 of those masks are now available for churches in the City of Flint.

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan has stepped up to be the lead organization when it comes to the distribution of the masks. This is all apart of the City's effort to ensure that community organizations have all the supplies they need to keep everyone safe. Small businesses in the city will also be able to get some of the donated masks as well.
