College Football Rankings Are Out, Season Starts In Less Than 2 Weeks
Michigan State and Michigan's football teams are both set to start the upcoming season ranked in the top 25 preseason polls, which were released on August 2nd by the Associated Press.
The Spartans will start the 2018 season ranked #11 after coming off a 10-3 season and returning 19 starters from last year's team and are looking to build on that. Their first regular season game is at home on August 31st against Utah State. Most Spartan fans seem really optimistic about this year's team.
The Michigan Wolverines will begin ranked at #14, even though they finished with a disappointing 8-5 record last year. Stakes are high for a once-young team who is now a veteran squad and looking for a big season. Returning key starters on defense and a new quarterback with experience at the helm should make for and interesting year in The Big House. The season starts for the maize and blue on the road at Notre Dame on September 1st.
