If you, or someone you know is in need right now, the Courtland Center is hosting a drive-thru food distribution event on Saturday.

The food giveaway is sponsored by the Michigan Muslim Community Council, and it runs from 2p-4p on Saturday June 27th. The MMCC is hosting food giveaways throughout the state on Saturday as they try to help everyone impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.

So far the MMCC has distributed more than 20,000 boxes of fresh produce, dairy, and other food items throughout Michigan. The work they have been doing has helped so many people in Michigan right now. If you would like to donate, volunteer, or get more information about upcoming food giveaways, you can find more information on their Facebook page here.

The event at Courtland Center this Saturday will provide more than 1,000 boxes for families in need. There are no special requirements for anyone that would like to pick up a box of food. You simply roll through the pickup line, and pick up your box. Check out the flyer below for all of the information.

If you are fortunate enough to be in a position where you don't need the food, please consider donating to help others in our community that do need it. The MMCC is planning on doing these food giveaway events throughout the summer, and could always use some extra help.

Thank you to everyone at the MMCC for everything you've done so far.
