It is being reported that Chappelle himself was the one being odd. Show patrons say he was rambling, smoking cigarettes, and insulting fans after being heckled by some members of the crowd. He took several long pauses, waiting for the crowd to settle before announcing he was gone after his 25 minutes (the amount of time he was contractually obligated to be on stage in order to get paid) was up.
