Detroit Auto Show Revs Up Excitement In January 2026

One of Michigan's most iconic events is the Detroit Auto Show.

In 2026, downtown Detroit will become a destination for automotive enthusiasts from Michigan, across the U.S., and around the globe.

This event is designed for more than just auto enthusiasts. Along with the latest automotive showcases, attendees can enjoy live entertainment, participate in a 5K run, support charity drives, and explore a variety of additional attractions.

When is the 2026 Detroit Auto Show?

Dates for the Detroit Auto Show are as follows,

• January 14th and 15th, 2026 - Industry and Media Days, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• January 16th, 2026 - Charity Preview Party, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• January 17th through January 24th, 2026 - 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• January 25th, 2026 - 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Detroit Auto Show 2026 tickets can be purchased in advance here. The Charity Preview Night will feature a performance from Robin Thicke.

Where will the Detroit Auto Show be held?

The Detroit Auto Show happens at Huntington Place, at 1 Washington Boulevard in Detroit, 48226.

From the Flint area, expect roughly a one-hour drive. If you’re coming from the Lapeer area, plan for just over an hour of travel time. Be sure to give yourself plenty of extra time for traffic.
