Ryan McCombs was the founding vocalist of the band SOiL, but left to spend time with his family and later joined Drowning Pool. The singer will return to handle vocal duties for the band's upcoming U.K. tour for the first time since 2004.

It's never easy to replace a vocalist; the band SOiL knows this all to well. After the departure of original singer Ryan McCombs, they have struggled to repeat the success of their 2001 album 'Scars'.  A.J. Cavalier attempted to fill the void left by McCombs, that lasted until 2010 when the mic was temporarily passed to Jordan Lee. With the departure of Cavalier, original drummer Tom Schofield headed for Splitsville as well.

The now-Drowning Pool singer will return to front the band during their October run through the U.K. and perform songs from their first three albums. Bassist Tim King expressed his excitement about the tour saying:

"The U.K. has always been a true home for SOiL. To also have Ryan singing and to be sharing the stage with Puddle of Mudd will be something special for both us and the fans."

There are no U.S. dates scheduled for the tour with SOiL, though McCombs will be playing a few scattered dates prior to that with Drowning Pool.
