Maybe you remember the Sceen Drive-In eventually was dubbed 'Durand Dirties'. According to The Daily Beast, the Sceen was the first ever adult drive-in theater. The spot was the brainchild of Harry Mohney, a former Shiawassee County resident who was also born in Durand.

The XXX drive-in was located on Lansing Road. The drive-in permanently closed in the 1980s and is now home to The Tee Box Driving Range. Good to know that balls are still a big draw on the property.

The adult theater even had some marketing gimmicks, according to Cinema Treasures there were advertisements offering the following deal,

'Husbands invite your wives on Tuesday and they get in free’.

Now that is marketing at its finest. I can only imagine how many romantic date nights went down (among other things) at the Sceen Drive-In.

As for Harry Mohney he is also the founder of Deja Vu strip clubs. According to Wikipedia, there was a time when he was the single largest pornographer and distributor of adult material in the world. The Durand, Michigan entrepreneur is now 79 years old.
