A fire broke out in a dorm at Eastern Michigan University early this morning. Thankfully only one student needed medical assistance to treat smoke inhalation.

Officials say the fire started in Phelps Hall, in the lounge area. They were able to extinguish the fire but the cause is still under investigation.

Most of the students were let back into their rooms, with the exception of one floor that was still closed. Those students were relocation to other areas of the campus.
