Hamilton Community Health Network will offer free doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on Friday, March 26 to anyone in the community who needs it.

Anyone that is 16 and older can show up at Center of Hope and get a free COVID-19 vaccine shot. Medical professionals will be administering the shot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 26. This will happen in the parking lot of the Center of Hope at 812 Root St., in Flint.

According to MLive, the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. So if you're thinking of going to get your shot, you might want to show up early (no appointment needed) because I would imagine there will be a lot of people trying to get theirs as well.

There's only going to be 150 doses of the vaccine available so they're going to go quick but don't stress if you're not able to get yours on Friday. You can also register on their website and schedule an appointment for a different day to get your vaccine shot.

Hamilton Community Health Network's upcoming vaccination clinic was originally supposed to be for the homeless only but they're committed to alleviating barriers for those needing a COVID19 vaccination so they opened it up to everyone in the community who needs a COVID19 shot.

Keep in mind you're not "fully vaccinated" until two weeks after you've had the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. Don't walk away thinking you're good to go, you still need to wait a couple of weeks.
