Flint Township Trailer Park To Be Demolished
A condemned trailer park in Flint Township is set to be demolished.
Mid-Michigan Now reports the demolition will happen on Monday, October 21st, 2024. According to ABC 12, people (including squatters), still live in the park.
What Flint Township trailer park is being demolished?
Myrtle Grove Mobile Home Park, located at 3073 West Dayton Street.
Genesee County Circuit Court Judge B. Chris Christenson deemed the park unfit for living.
However, as you will see and hear in the video below, park resident William Gibson, claims his trailer was liveable. Gibson received an evacuation notice, only to find out squatters have since taken over his trailer.
Although Mr. Miller claims his mobile home was liveable, that does not seem to be the consensus.
What will happen to residents of Myrtle Grove who have nowhere to go?
According to Supervisor Karyn Miller, Flint Township is working with several charities to find shelter for people. We certainly wish anyone involved the best.
Do you live in Myrtle Grove Mobile Home Park or near it? What are your thoughts on the demolition?
