Flint Water Crisis Lawsuit Dismissed by Federal Judge
Some local residents are not happy as one of the dozens of lawsuits filed after Flint's water crisis has just been dismissed by a federal judge.
According to ABC12 and court records, the suit named Flint resident and activist Melissa Mays in the role of Plaintiff, intended to "represent a class of Flint residents.
The suit is filed against Governor Rick Snyder as well other state and local officials and is citing damages tied to a federal civil rights law, but the judge ruled the Safe Drinking Water Act takes precedent over that.
I don't think this is the last that we'll hear about this lawsuit as the attorney is planning to appeal.
