Looks like the nice weather is just about over and we could see some winter temperatures and snow within the next few days.

Starting Wednesday, the weather in Michigan is going to start turning down the winter path. When it comes to snow, most of us don't like the words "lake effect." Unfortunately, those are the words being tossed around the weather rooms as of late. The temperatures, mixed with wind direction, could mean heavier snowfall is possible.

If there is any good news in this, it is that most of the snowfall will be accumulating in West Michigan and Northern Michigan. However, we could still see a bit of snow in our part of The Mitten by Friday. Who knows -- maybe we'll see a lot. I don't need to remind you that this is Michigan.

Snow or not, it will feel like winter quickly in the Flint area. By Friday, temperatures will see highs in the mid-to-low 30s and lows in the 20s.

Honestly, I am ready for the change. We had a great summer and a great fall so far. Hopefully, we get a great winter as well. Once we get past that first day of driving in the snow again, we should be okay.
